Sauce from fresh tomatoes

  • Olive oil: 1 Tablespoon
  • Onions large: 2
  • Celery chopped: ½ Cup
  • Garlic: 2
  • Peeled tomatoes, cut into pieces: 4 Cups
  • Sheets of dried oregano: ½ Teaspoon
  • Black pepper: taste.
  • Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  • Laurel: 1 Sheet


Heat the olive oil in a casserole. There, fry slightly the onions and celery. Add the garlic, tomatoes, oregano, pepper, sugar and bay leaves. Let it boil. Reduce the heat, cover and leave to simmer on a low heat for 40 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and mix the sauce in the mass.
